How’s Amsterdam doing in white? Heard some people talk about snow xD. The students have heard from it here but only from older volunteers. Never seen anything like it. It just feels off, thinking about cold white frozen water after a 30 minute walk through the scorching sun.
Anyway everything here is going good, life on the Rupununi is relax but going on. We did NOT get any money, damnit they said they would fix it, and we are now praying to get money before we go to Tobago. Means that if it goes according to plan we get 800 euro (240000 Guyanese dollars) on the 15th of December. Term ends on the 17th and we fly from Georgetown to Tobago at the 22nd.
It is really weird to be so cut off from the world. Mom and dad sent me a package with a newspaper, but since it takes three weeks to get here, the “news” is a bit outdated. For the rest all the papers are only filled with local news. But then again, we life in a infested house with 1 tap and a shower and a toilet that doesn’t flush, how weird would it be to hear everything from home.
One tap was weird in beginning but doing the dishes underneath a bottle of water works fine, filling up a pan to boil water in in the shower feels a bit more awkward. Teaching is getting better and better by the week though. Chemistry is just fun to teach, is an amazing class too. (starting even to learn names, should have done that a while ago).
As for the photos this site is still too slow. Ones I get in Georgetown I might add some. I have not added photos on face book for a while, but Calum added around 80 last week. Added him as friend to the family account so those who know Arthur can see it. Otherwise go to my account, look for a friend called Calum Kennedy and go to his pictures. Don’t all go adding him but go through one of those 2 accounts.
Then last Thursday we had an event that was worth mentioning. Thanksgiving. Not celebrated here at all but seeing all the American volunteers find it a hard day to be without family we had a nice gathering at Ian’s house. They all made amazing dishes. Felt a bit wrong for me to eat there seeing I made none of it, but they kept insisting that I should eat more so in the end I made up for it by doing the dishes :P
Anyway keep in tact everyone,
Don’t let your limbs freeze off (XD snow whaha)

Guido:
