Hey everybody,
How are you all doing? I'm still enjoying the central rupununi life. Partying at the waterside with swimming kids. Washing clothes in the river because the pump broke down and training for the sports day.
The party was amazing. Last sunday i was at Albert's and he had heard about some bridge "gathering" and asked me if i wanted to check it out.
so we went there (45 min walk) and had a couple of carib's. Kids where swimming in the river while some homeless dude was shampooing his hair.
while we where there the electricity pole at our school snapped and we havent had electricity for like 5 days. water works on electrical pump so that doesnt really work either...
now they fixed the pole but the pump broke down xD
so we had to wash clothes and ourselves in a river next to the school compound. then we walked back with buckets of water on our head.
such a shame my camera was out of battery and i couldnt recharge it...
Then tuesday was the day of the teacher, no teaching on school. but we where given presents and they had a bit of open stage thing for us with songs/poems/dance etcetera. then the prefects made lunch for us, fry rice and chicken. absolutely amazing day. funny to see the students taking care of the teachers for ones.
anyway im out of timealready,
will see if i can get some pictures uploaded next week, for now youll have to see them on facebook.

Hoi, ik wist niet de Dag van de Leraar een wereldwijd festijn was.
Leuk dat er daar zo'n aandacht aan besteed wordt. Wij zijn ook niet vergeten op onze school hoor. Een lunch met allerlei lekkers door wat moeders gemaakt en we kregen van onze directie een "touchy" brief en een parpplu met het schoollogo erop. Liefs. -

Een dakloze dude die in de rivier zijn haar wast met shampoo. En dat jij dan naar huis loopt met een emmertje water (op je hoofd!!!) uit die rivier. Zeker om thee van te zetten?
